Wah problems 😔
I use two distortion pedals into a solid state amp (clean channel). I want to add a wah pedal to the chain, but the wah has a very unsatisfying sweep when used with my distortion pedals. I've tried a couple different wahs, and I've tried adding pedals with buffers between the wah and distortion, but nothing helps. I've heard that I need to get an actual buffer pedal, but at this point I'm skeptical that anything will work without just scrapping my distortion pedals that I love and have been using for years. Any suggestions? Should I just get a nice buffer pedal? Or a specific wah?
Can you adjust the sweep? There are some wah where you can..? I know volume and expression pedals can change the sweep..
Sorry it wouldn't let me reply for a long time and then i forgot about this 😬 But yes, it does have an adjustable sweep, but it doesn't make much of a difference when going through distortion.
@1995afterparty Hey Emily, I don't know what you mean by "unsatisfying" but here's my interpretation of it: I have a Cry Baby wah and the sweep isn't "wide" or "long" enough. I opened it up one day and adjusted it so it's as long as possible but it's still not enough for me. I guess one question is, is your wah physical or electronic? I'm at the point where I'll sell this and get something like a Vox.
