Pisces season marks a full year of this global pandemic—the likes of which the world has not seen in over a century. We are now gifted with the grace of technology that keeps us interconnected, yet we are more divided than we’ve ever been. This is a time to center the strength of your spirit that has carried you through this unanticipated challenge. Pisces season offers us the rest that is needed to rise once again. Take it.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

I am not defined by what has already passed, but by how I hold the truth that was revealed in that moment.

The image you see in the mirror shows not what others have said about you, but what you have chosen to take on as your own. Identify the flashes of doubt that lead you further away from the bonfire that rages within. You may realize, under the Full Moon of February 27th, what you’ve sacrificed in service of what you fear. But this is the time when your vibrance can no longer be exchanged for a promise that can only ever be unfulfilled. Take back your story. Make it your own. Look in the mirror and speak into existence the whole universe that lives within—not just the sliver that fits neatly within the box they’ve assigned and convinced you was yours.

Audioscope Challenge: Practice scales, play a song, or jam by yourself in front of a mirror. What feelings and thoughts come up as you watch yourself perform? Notice what no longer serves you, and what brings you further into your power.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)

2 taurus

There is nothing I can prove to others If I don’t believe it myself.

You are not made more worthy by what you are able to accomplish, but rather by what you believe about the value of your contribution. The more perfect the expectation, the smaller the space within which love can arrive and be perceived, and the more difficult it will be to recognize its presence. The walls built up around acceptance are ripe for shattering at the Full Moon on February 27th. Abundance is generated by gratitude, a practice offered to you by Mars entering Gemini on March 3rd.  Replace those precise expectations of how love is received with a commitment to identifying the principles that inspired their use. There’s a reason you set such strong expectations for yourself and others—center it with the New Moon in Pisces on March 13th

Audioscope Challenge: Next time you start a new song, spend a few minutes meditating on what feels true to you in your creative mind, and what you want to evoke in your music. Do your best to tune into what you value rather than what is expected.

GEMINI May 21 – June 20

I honor my truth by respecting the time it takes me to recognize it.

You cannot deliver your insight on demand, and you cannot redirect your passage the moment you realize you need to change directions. You are on your time. The insight that is burgeoning in your conscious mind will take its time arriving. This period of reflection will bring with it the vantage point you need to make a decision, especially after Mercury turns direct on February 20th. The Full Moon on the 27th will finally bring the last piece of the puzzle you’ve been missing. By March 3rd, when Mars enters Gemini, you’ll be ready to re-start the project, respecting exactly what needed to shift in order to realize its promise. Let the New Moon on March 13th be the time when you implement this insight to praxis. You’ll be ready to share what you see when Mercury enters Pisces, by March 15th.

Audioscope Challenge: Spend this time reflecting on your musical project, without feeling obligated to produce anything. On March 13, see what shifts have taken place in how you view the project, and use what you learn to create from a place of intention.

CANCER (June 21 – July 22)

I did not come into this world with fear.

You came into this world with all the tools necessary to face the experiences that are yours to integrate and learn from. But the systems of this world are built to seed doubt where there could be courage, critique where there could be strategy. This fear creates a wall built strong and tall around the pit of your belly, keeping in everything that may be misunderstood or used against you, and keeping out anyone who may shed light on these silent truths. The pressure of carrying on in silence may cause a crack in the façade, especially around the Full Moon on February 27th. This won’t hold up for much longer: as Mars enters Gemini in early March, you may start to realize just how much you’ve been holding back and how little you’re able to feel deeply seen and connected. We all deserve to be acknowledged for the fullness of experience we bring. You’ll start to turn the corner by the New Moon on March 13th

Audioscope Challenge: Pinpoint any moments of fear in your musical process. See if you are able to sit with them, pay attention to the causes, and acknowledge how your body reacts. By naming our fears, we begin to regain our power over them.

 LEO (July 23 – August 22)

I do not need to manifest this vision alone.

You did not come into this world alone and you do not realize your greatest achievements alone—this time will be no different. The barriers to building connections is higher, but so is the willingness to expand beyond the constraints we’ve been facing so long. Reach out. Feeling resourced and replenished has as much to do with the health of your connections as it does with your ability to pay the bills, especially after Venus moves into Pisces on February 25th. This moment will be defined by your ability to identify the opportunity for collaboration that will expand what you thought you were capable of creating. Look to the New Moon on March 13th to initiate the next phase of your offering, preferably in conjunction with someone who challenges you to dig deeper.

Audioscope Challenge: What role does collaboration play in your music? Do you welcome it? Shy away from it? Why? Consider reading out to those who truly see you, and want to see you thrive.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)

I have the authority to define what I can and cannot take on right now, and absolve myself from the pressure to do anything “better.”

We are living and breathing and loving and fighting through a pandemic right, and you are not expected to stretch more than that reality will allow. The wisdom of your body’s energetic capacity is for you alone to speak to and protect. The Full Moon on February 27th is your time to own the power to delineate what you can and cannot participate in. As Mars enters Gemini, your careful watch over your energetic output will deliver the opportunity to push forward on a project that seemed unobtainable at this time—but only because you made the space for it, because you said no when you needed to. By the New Moon on March 13th, make a commitment to setting better boundaries with those you love. You can be of service only when you are in service of your power first.

Audioscope Challenge: Make a list of everything you are taking on right now. Go through the list, pay attention to your gut reaction to each (Is there a resounding yes? Is there hesitation?), and make a note next to each bullet point. Rearrange the list in order of your reactions, and see if there’s anything that you can remove to create more energetic space.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)

I have only lost what was no longer mine to keep.

Making different choices and taking different steps will not bring back a situation in which it would have turned out differently, because the common denominator is you, and this moment is yours to face. Allow the past to become the past as Mercury turns direct on February 20th. Invite the lesson that is here for you to integrate to be revealed with the Full Moon on February 27th. As Mars enters Gemini on March 3rd, you’ll be ready to turn a corner on the past by looking forward to the implications it has for your future. Your desires may need some revisioning, but that can be done with the New Moon on March 13th, especially if you center your heart health. Ease will bring you what you seek much more readily than force. Invite what you need instead of pushing yourself so hard for it.

Audioscope Challenge: Write a song for your present moment. Concentrate on the here and now.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)

What I risk by not trying will hurt more than what I lose by taking this risk.

I cannot guarantee that everything will go according to plan once you decide to move through this open door, but I can guarantee that the challenge you face will arrive either way. No one can change the sacred space you carry within, from which your creativity rises. This is the time to clear away doubt that has crowded in, especially as Mercury turns direct on February 20th. Cleanse that inner world of all external messages; this is the space where only your voice should reside. As Venus enters Pisces on the 25th, you may find the opportune time to share the process you’ve been working on. The Full Moon on the 27th may shine a light on that offering, elevating its resonant message with those who may receive it. By the New Moon on March 13th, the telescope through which you’ve been harnessing your vision may expand its field of view. Becoming a more perfect vessel for this creative expression means knowing you don’t need to be centered in the process.

Audioscope Challenge: What musical risks have you been avoiding in your work? And why? Pick one and follow through with it before the New Moon on March 13th.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)

It is by my own words and power that my fate is decided. No one can shape the development of my personal expression unless I give them that power. I choose to separate what is mine from what is not mine—what will be my story from what fears I choose to no longer feed.

Mercury goes direct on February 20th, granting you clarity where there was once shadow. As the Moon turns full a week later on the 27th, you can clear up misunderstandings that need to be addressed. Some of those closest to you may be expecting you to fulfill their expectations, thinking they know what is best for your future during this chaotic time—that is for you alone to decide. You’ll have the fortitude to move forward with your own plans by March 3rd, when Mars enters Gemini. You do not need to fight where clear communication will do. If you build trust in your own perception and accept responsibility for carving out your path, then the New Moon on the 13th may find you ready to start a new chapter with clear and open trust in what it may bring.

Audioscope Challenge: Write out a complete list of musical expectations for 2021. Go through the list one-by-one, cross out anything that feels external from you, and focus on what fully resounds in your heart.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)

The more I believe in the power of my own contribution, the less anxiety I will have over whether I am capable of receiving what I need in order to thrive. The more time I allow myself to spend on a project, the higher quality I am able to create. But if I buy into the expectations of a system that requires me to produce at a level that requires the extraction of my power in service of a fabricated timeline, then my trust in myself will also suffer.

The only way to ensure stability in your future, which may be the source of anxiety now that Mercury goes direct on February 20th, is to make sure that you are happy with what you are creating. It’s time to pull back the veil on the fears around access to resources and suss out the root source of these self-diminishing patterns. One way to treat yourself with kindness is to recognize and honor your limits, and the Full Moon on the 27th will make it clear in what ways you have compromised your vitality for a semblance of safety. Pull back—let Mars entering Gemini on March 3rd guide your energy back into your own body first before giving it freely again. By the New Moon on March 13th you may want to consult with a trusted friend or guide about how to create more space to invite new vision. You are meant for more than this cycle of production will allow.

Audioscope Challenge: Try to engage with your musical endeavors every day, even if that means listening to a demo you’ve already recorded and not doing anything with it. Pay less attention to false timelines, and focus on daily rituals that keep you in love with your work.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)

There is no challenge that lays before my path that I do not have the strength to meet. There will be no doubt sown into these bones by the storm that rises up on the horizon. Manifesting vision requires more patience than talent, more determination than skill.

Mercury going direct on February 20th grants you dedication based on your recognition of past experience. You were made for this time. You chose this time to bring your vision into consecration, and it is within this space that you will find the strength to carry it through. Starting on the 25th,  Venus will help open up the channels from which you’ll receive the support you need. The Full Moon that follows on the 27th may ask you to release what is no longer needed in order to receive what must be carried forward. By early March, what you have lost will reveal what you truly value. Honor it with the New Moon on March 13th, dedicating your time here to the projects you are uniquely suited to bring forth.

Audioscope Challenge: Consider what kinds of support you have at this moment (community, financial, a label, etc.) and how you honor them. Are you fully utilizing your supports? Are you showing them gratitude? Can you share them with others?

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)

I honor the divine timing of my progression. I listen to the inspiration that guides my practice and allows for the notes to unfurl on their own time.

You may be called to spend this time in quiet reflection, in respect of all the changes that have taken place in your world. Mercury goes direct on February 20th, bringing with it messages you may receive best when in rest. Venus will enter your sign soon after, with the desire to invest time in creating beauty where there currently may lie doubt. It’s been a hard year: reset and unwind, letting all of the difficulties slide off of your body like water. You are ready to be renewed, and the Full Moon on February 27th brings with it some sweet time to spend with someone you love—you, most of all. Love on yourself, splurge on yourself, and let the gifts of thriving remind you that you’ve already made it through this difficult time. This next year will bring its own challenges. But this month, with this New Moon on March 13th, is for you.

Audioscope Challenge: Rather than trying to create, spend this time tuning into what brings you inspiration, joy, and motivation when it comes to your musical endeavors.
