If you’ve been following our #Legend Series on our social media platforms, then you already know about the long-lasting legacies of the following musicians on our playlist!

The She Shreds Legend Series highlights some of the most badass guitarists and bassists whose  exploration of musical styles and genres has inspired generations of musicians after them. “When The Levee Breaks” was written and recorded by Memphis Minnie long before Led Zeppelin brought it to popular culture. Sister Rosetta Tharpe was finally inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame this year. Violeta Parra was a politically-minded performer dedicated to discovering and preserving her country’s fading roots music traditions. And Selda Bağcan’s politically charged anthems have particularly strong connections with hip-hop music. Each legend has their own story whose legacies have paved the way for creative freedom and expression.
