We are happy to announced that Alejandra Lira of Madison, Wisconsin has won our Fender Elite Series Bass giveaway contest, which includes a new Fender Elite Series Bass and accessory pack. Her entry was selected at Random through Random.org.

Lira, who works full time in Coastal Engineering and science, has been playing bass for several years. She was first inspired by the likes of Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, and Stanley Clarke, among others, and currently counts Esperanza Spalding, Tal Wilkenfeld, and Nik West among her “most admired” bassists.

When her own bass guitar broke a while back, Lira didn’t have the funds to replace it and she has been borrowing a friend’s modified 80s Fender Precision Bass ever since. Not only is she stoked to have her own instrument once again, but the timing couldn’t be better—coincidentally, the news came on her 29th birthday!
