Last week we hosted our first NYC event for the release of our fifth issue, and although we weren’t exactly sure what to expect, the show turned out to be an absolute success!

Hosted in partnership with the amazing Witches of Bushwick, the night started off quiet as we approached an unmarked door that took us into the DIY venue known as Shea Stadium BK. Promptly at 8:45, with a few people already standing in front of the stage waiting to hear music, Bluffing filled the room with heavy, loud guitar riffs and an energy that regenerated with each band. Following Bluffing was Sharkmuffin, White Mice (the Mo-Dettes/Kleenex cover band featuring Sara Landeau and Kathi Wilcox of The Julie Ruin/Bikini Kill, Marian Li-Pino of La Luz, and She Shreds founder Fabi Reyna) and Slothrust, all of which left us with our jaw dropped afterwards. All in all I’d say that if you live in the New York City area you can definitely expect to be seeing us again very very soon.
