Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! on the Cover of She Shreds Magazine Issue 9
Since 1997 Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! has been a staple of the pop-punk rock scene, gracing festivals such as the Vans Warped Tour and giving audience members the space to mosh, crowd surf and go crazy. With the release of her documentary series, True Trans and latest album, 23 Live Sex Acts, Laura Jane Grace stands as a role model for women and trans people to fight for who they are and leave all the bullshit behind.
As the world’s first magazine about women guitarists, we are beyond excited to release the cover of our November issue featuring Laura Jane Grace photographed by Lindsey Byrnes. Since issue #1 we’ve been conscious of using women vs. female to be inclusive to trans women as well as cis women and are honored to consider this issue one of our best yet.
Also featured are Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino, Des Ark’s Aimeé Argote, Merge Records CEO Laura Ballance, an interview with one of the final survivors of Gibson’s WWII Banner guitars, and much more.
Subscribe now to get this issue at your doorstep by November 18th!
